I am excited to share how God is answering our prayers for the permanent medical clinic in Caneille, Haiti. As most of you know, Pastor Bastia purchased a piece of property a stone's throw from Calvary Chapel Caneille in memory of his late wife, Betty. It had been her hope to one day have a clinic in their community to help those who didn't have access to medical care.

We were so excited to break ground on July 4th and on July 26th both the foundation and the underground plumbing were complete! Thanks to fundraisers and many donations, this dream is becoming a reality. All the work is being directed by professionals from the U.S. who have donated their time, but the labor is done by the Haitians, providing income for the community. They are so happy to have work!

On August 11th another team will be going down to begin construction of the block walls. God has been moving this project along so much faster than we ever imagined. Please consider how God may want you to be involved in this project and email me for more information. Tax deductible donations for the clinic building can be made by paypal to caneille.haiti@gmail.com or find the DONATE button on the website. Please continue to pray for this building project and the people it will serve. To God be the glory! Julie Gibbs More pics/videos on Facebook: Caneille.Haiti Medical Mission

Thank you to all of you who supported the Haiti Medical Mission by praying, giving or going. This year we raised $10,000 with the C.S. Lewis play for the mission and clinic! I hope you followed our trip on Facebook (Caneille.Haiti Medical Mission) to see how God was certainly hearing your prayers! We had smooth travels (once we got out of the U.S.!) and even sailed right thru customs with all our medications and supplies. God sent an amazing team this year ( I know I probably say that every year, but He did). Everyone of the 11 missionaries worked so well together. When people submit to God, He can do awesome works! And speaking of awesome, we were able to treat around 1045 patients in only 4 days of clinic! God gave us strength and endurance to treat all 372 patients who came on the last day! We had planned to end early so that we could put everything away and do an inventory, but God had other plans. One of the last patients we treated told one of the missionaries as she handed her a card to let her in to see the doctor, "I was praying, and I knew that my Jesus would not let me go home." Her prayers were answered and faith strengthened.

Our temporary pharmacy

We were so pleased to see many of the patients we prayed with already knew Jesus, which shows the impact the church here is having on the community. There were 45 patients who prayed and chose to follow Jesus! Of these, 3 were following voodoo (Satan) and will leave that fear and oppression for the love that God has for them.

2018 Team Haiti

I have more exciting news to tell you-- We have been praying and planning for a permanent medical clinic there in Caneille and on 4th of July we broke ground! The foundation is well under way and should be completed by the beginning of August! Please pray that God would send a plumber and an electrician to lay the ground work before the cement is poured. The clinic will have 3 exam rooms, a pharmacy, treatment room, laboratory, and a room for x-ray, ultrasound, and someday a CT scan. God is doing an amazing work in Caneille, Haiti. Please pray with us for the funds to make this happen. The total cost will be around $300,000 for this life changing clinic.

He is able to accomplish above and beyond all that we hope and ask!

May God bless you and bless the people of Caneille. Please let me know if you received this email. I hope the pics came through. Also, let me know if you would like to get involved.

In His service,

Julie Gibbs, RN

I found out after sending this email that the 45 people who decided to follow Jesus were in the local area of the church. There were actually  closer to 250 total people saved! At least 5 of these were delivered from the grips of voodoo! God is certainly moving in central Haiti.

You may have heard about the civil unrest going on right now in the major cities in Haiti due to an unreasonable gas tax placed on them and then rescinded due to the violent protests. Please pray for peace among the people and for wisdom for the leadership. Pray for opportunities for all Christians there to share God's peace. The area of Caneille and the church there continue to be safe.

Thank you and God bless you,
