There is a rebellion going on in Haiti against the current President and we aren't seeing anything about it in our US news. The people are protesting because the price of food and gas has skyrocketed over the past year and they are literally starving to death. There are political agendas fueling the uprising, but the results are always the same--the people suffer. Please pray that the people will get the food they need to survive and that there would be peace so the travel advisory will be lifted. Currently we are unable to go to Caneille to work on the clinic, but we are sending money to help feed the people in that community. We are so blessed to have Pastor Bastia there, a man of integrity with a huge heart for his people. He has already used the $500 we sent to buy rice and distributed it to 140 families in Caneille! I will be wiring more money on Thursday. Right now there is no end in sight, so we will continue to help in any way we can. God sees and He hears the cries of His people!

Hi everyone!

I'm writing to update you on the latest happenings in Caneille, Haiti, where the construction continues on the new medical clinic. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for and supported this mission. It's so exciting to see things coming together this quickly. Building this clinic can seem overwhelming at times, but God continues to send people to me with the specific abilities needed, one step at a time. This helps me remember that this is His clinic and He's the One building it!

As I write this letter, there are 4 men, 3 from Cornerstone Chapel in VA and 1 from Calvary Chapel Burbank, who are beginning the construction of the roof! This is a huge job to cover over 4300 sq.ft. of building with a raised aluminum roof that can withstand the Haitian wind & rainstorms. I just posted a video on Facebook of an interview with these guys. www.Facebook/Caneille.Haiti Medical Mission.  What a blessing! God has already provided the money for the roof and to start building the road back to the clinic. Our next steps will be to complete the road, buy & install doors and windows, and "smooth" the walls (a cement texture they put on the block walls for insulation).

I am already planning the next medical mission trip: April 5-14! And, Lord willing, we will be having the clinic inside of our new building! It won't be complete, unless God provides miraculously, but it will definitely have walls and a roof! If you have questions or would like me to send you more specifics, please reply to this email.

If you would like to support Caneille.Haiti Medical Mission, you can send your tax-deductible donation to our link on the website! The email associated with the account is canaille.haiti@gmail.com

Please pray for this mission! There is still so much more to do and your prayers are keeping it going.

~Wisdom for the builders

~Safety for the workers

Thank you and God bless you as you seek His will for your life,

Thank you for your prayers and support for the Caneille.Haiti Medical Clinic. The picture above was taken this weekend after a joint team of masons from Cornerstone Chapel, Calvary Chapel Burbank, and about 25 hard working Haitians spent a long week working long days to put up the walls to the clinic. Isn't it beautiful?! It certainly is to the people of Caneille. Our next step is to "raise the roof". This will cost $20,000 so we will need to raise the money before we can move forward. We are planning a big fundraiser in October and I will let you know the details soon. If you would like to help fund raise or donate, please email me.

God continues to amaze me with how he is putting this all together. All glory to Him for what He has done and what He will do!

In His service,

Julie Gibbs
